We had a great time here despite the weather not being the best. The house had everything we needed, although a bbq would be nice, particularly if it had been warmer. We enjoyed seeing the animals and being so remote the stars on a clear night were amazing and we were treated to a wonderful rainbow against the beautiful Devon hills one evening. Tucked away on the edge of the estuary with the high tide bringing the river right up to the back french doors. Very cosy, clean and comfortable with everything we needed including wood for the fire. We had a wonderful stay in this particularly special location.

Beautiful house and views. Stunning location just to relax and watch life on the River Dart, potter around historic Dartmouth or get out onto the coast path. Wonderful Sun trap that made late February feel like early summer! There are quite a few steps down to the property and lack of parking was the only downside. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location and a beautiful sea view. Very comfortable beds and easy access to the beach and Start Bay Inn for food and drink. Great place to relax. Parking can be a bit of a juggle to get a free space but they do tend to turn over quickly so wasn’t a problem for us.

This was a magical short break for our extended family. A beautiful house set in magnificent grounds which the photos really don’t do justice. The five children in our group all loved discovering the hidden garden and the pathways surrounding the property. All rooms were tastefully decorated, large and many, especially the big conservatory, with its wide opening doors, have superb views of the South Hams hillsides. …
