What a truly breathtaking property. The pictures just don’t match up to the wow factor when you walk in. Of course the unbelievable views help , but the house itself is beautiful! Right on the river , we could have stayed on the balcony for the whole weekend just relaxing and enjoying the view. Wonderful cabin, so peaceful and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything one could need for food preparation and dining. Beds are comfortable and spotless. Warm and comfortable. Perfect bathrooms. The surroundings are beautiful and all you can hear is the stream in the distance and the whisper of the wind and the trees. Paul replied promptly each time I asked questions.

We had a marvellous few days in Dartmouth. The Captains Cabin was queerly and had views to die for. Paul was a great host and responded promptly to messages. The cafe made breakfast easy and lived up to the reviews. Highly recommend the stay to anyone wanting something a bit different

Brambles annexe was easy to find, very quiet location and a nice little base to explore the local area from. The property is looked after by the lovely couple next door who popped by to check everything was ok. On arrival we messaged Paul to let him know the loo seat was very loose, quick response and repaired straight away. The upstairs has views of the hills and my partner loved sitting out on the little balcony and watching the night sky. We were there in hot weather. It worked for us since we were out during the day. It was easy to cool the top floor in the evenings by opening up all of the windows. The bedroom downstairs was always cool enough to sleep well.

My family and I had a fantastic time. The house and location are stunning. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The views are amazing. And Ted, our dog, loved walking to the castle and fort above. Perfect!

The Brambles was a nice residence for me in Devon. Paul and wife were at hand to help with any issues. The place is well kept. They showed me the local Tesco for food and pointed me to the bus service in the area saving me transport money. I highly recommend their place to others visiting this part of Devon.
