We had a marvellous few days in Dartmouth. The Captains Cabin was queerly and had views to die for. Paul was a great host and responded promptly to messages. The cafe made breakfast easy and lived up to the reviews. Highly recommend the stay to anyone wanting something a bit different

Everything was better than expected. It was just a 5-minute walk up to the coast with its sensational views, and a 10-minute walk to a wonderful bay with a fantastic sandy beach. A cozy pub serving delicious food, beer, and pool was only a 2-minute walk away. Agatha Christie’s house, Plymouth, and Dartmouth were all within a 30- to 45-minute drive. We had such a fantastic stay here – probably our favourite Devon spot to date – the kids loved staying at The Hen House, being right on the farm and being greeted by the sheep and getting to see the calves. The space was perfect for us with 3 kids, very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Just back from a fantastic three nights at the place. The location of the house is fabulous, just 1-2 minutes walk from the beach. It felt very homely and comfortably sleeps 8 Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea and beach was sublime. We booked this place for a family pre Xmas stay and were not disappointed in any way. The house is as described, but better in the reality. It felt like a home from home, spacious, warm, perfect;y clean, and the high quality and comfortable furnishings were appreciated by all. Lovely location by the river and an easy walk to Dartmouth. Very, very good.

What a great place to stay! Made a weekend away with 4 under 6s so much easier. Loved the table tennis and games room not to mention the super garden for football and runaround games. All rooms immaculate and well appointed. The huge living space is such an advantage with all those comfy sofas. All that and only an 8 minute walk to The Village Inn. What’s not to love! We will definitely go back.
