A great stay!
It was lovely hearing the sea and being so close to the beach. Facilities were good and plenty of room. Paul kept in touch and all helped to make our stay a great one.
The location is fantastic.
We had a wonderful few days during the heatwave in the cottage. Loved it all. the location is amazing, just a few steps to the beach where we enjoyed swimming in the sea. And right on the SW Coast Path.

Great location & lovely cottage. We had an issue with no hot water. I am dissatisfied with the hosts response that it was because the hot water was on a timer as it doesn’t make sense that it wasn’t set to come on for the morning. I would assume this has now been rectified, but I would check before you book.

Just a great cottage
Just a great cottage, superb views, spotlessly clean throughout, due to the storm things took a bashing , sadly the diversion through Kingsbridge was a major inconvenience. We loved the local pub great food and just a short stroll away, The bus service to the village and surrounding areas good, The rock fish in salcome just superb as they all are. Sunday lunch at the cricket inn at beesands was outstanding but you must book, we just hope in the not to distant future that the road and homes get back to some kind of normality Thank you
Fantastic location
Fantastic location and a beautiful sea view. Very comfortable beds and easy access to the beach and Start Bay Inn for food and drink. Great place to relax. Parking can be a bit of a juggle to get a free space but they do tend to turn over quickly so wasn't a problem for us.
Beautiful, perfect spot
Beautiful, perfect spot, just on the beach. Quiet with amazing views over the beach. Contacted host about turning up hot water and immediately received a lovely message explaining where the switch was. Comfortable and spacious place that has been part of creating new lovely memories ! Thank you

Torcross is the most beautiful place
Torcross is the most beautiful place - even after the recent storm damage (and in fact the village needs supporting now more than ever) - in the most beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is fantastic, with the most incredible view from the first floor window. Worth the price alone! It was such a joy sitting on the sofa watching the waves, both on sunny days and cloudy ones.

We had a wonderful few days at the Boathouse - the location is second to none! To listen to the waves crash into the sea wall was the best! The pub was just right and the food was fantastic. All in all we had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend in a unique property with huge appeal. I hope to return soon.

Great location
Great location, weather was a bit mixed when we stayed but with such a great view did not matter. Being able to step out straight into the beach was a joy having two energetic dogs. Nice pub short walk away.

Beautiful location and view. Can’t beat hearing the sound of the ocean from inside the place. Beds were comfy and nice water pressure in the shower. Clear instructions and friendly host to communicate with. Would stay again. Thank you for the nice experience!

The location is quite unique and looking onto the sea is very special. Even more special is the close proximity to the sea, so you can go to bed listening to the waves and wake up to them. Gorgeous

Incredible views. Steps to the beach are a stones throw away, it was the perfect location for our beach and sea loving family. We will be back without the kids next time!
We loved the Boathouse
We loved the Boathouse and will definitely be returning! Beautiful location, the sea on the doorstep and lovely accommodation. Wished we could have stayed for longer, the pubs/restaurants are within walking distance and the food was amazing! My husband and son enjoyed sea swimming on several occasions then the 2 minute walk back to the accommodation was perfect! We enjoyed wine on the patio area and the view from the living room and the sound of the sea is so relaxing, thank you so much!
A wonderful week
myself, my husband, 2 children and our dog have just returned from a wonderful week at The Boathouse. The accommodation itself is exactly as described, if anything I would say it feels more spacious that the photos suggest. The location can't be beaten, with the sea literally a stones throw away. Paul himself was super helpful and friendly, and also very flexible when our car broke down and we didn't know if we would be leaving early or not. Would definitely stay here again if have the opportunity to do so.
A very special place
Torcross is a very special place and the cottage was great. The picture window was perfect for watching the gorgeous view and the seal swimming past. Listening to the waves on the stones as we fell asleep was so relaxing. We didn’t want to leave.

Fantastic cottage right on the beach where you are able to watch the sunrise before braving the sea. The location is great with a good pub close by and restaurants as well as a very good farm shop which its possible to walk to. The cottage itself has everything you need with a fabulous view. Comfortable beds and great sitting and dining area. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round which was a great plus as well as being able to have a bbq on the beach. We will definitely come back again!
Amazing location
This place is in an amazing location right next to the sea, couldn’t get any closer. Lovely accommodation with everything you need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Gorgeous walks on the door step, incredible views and great pubs and restaurants would highly recommend. Thanks Paul for our amazing stay. Would definitely return.

"We were looking for beach front and this was certainly that. An idyllic home in a beautiful location. Amazing to hear the sea all the time. There is a local coffee shop, chip shop restaurant/ takeaway. The nearby farm shop was a great find. This home in a beautiful location was just perfect to explore surrounding south Devon coastal walks and beaches".

"We had a brilliant stay at the boathouse, the location is incredible and the views breathtaking!
We knew the area and so it was the perfect base for us for both relaxing at Torcross with friends or on Slapton Sounds, or exploring nearby Dartmouth or Blackpool sounds.
I found the property more spacious than I was expecting and so plenty of room for 4 of you, we did find it a little challenging with our youngest daughter wanting to go up and down the stairs constantly which is something to bear in mind if you have very young children, but that wouldn’t stop us returning with the kids.
The parking is great and the kitchen well equipped and you are right on the beach, you fall asleep and wake up with the sound of the waves, idyllic!
We would definitely recommend and would love to return for another visit!"

"Situated on the beach it was great to be able to pop back to the cottage - ideal when you have 2 kids and a dog! Local farm shop was fab for groceries and the Start Bay Inn was reliable for some nice evening food and drinks. Torcross is a beautiful place and the cottage allowed for an enjoyable and peaceful break".

"We have stayed in Boathouse Cottage several times and really can’t fault it. The accommodation is spacious, clean and perfectly located for the beach. The beach view from the upstairs window is amazing. The pub is a 2 min walk away and a farm shop is also within walking distance. We have never had any issues but someone is easy to contact should any arise. We would thoroughly recommend Boathouse Cottage, and we can’t wait to stay there again".
