We had a great few days here as a family. The lodge itself was immaculate and well presented. A short walk down the hill to the restaurant, bar and spa facilities, which were also very good. The discount on food and spa was a bonus. There are only about half a dozen lodges, meaning it was very quiet and peaceful. The most amazing and charming cottage. We had the best time staying at Cider Cottage for Christmas with our two children. The cottage was clean, tidy, well equipped with all cooking utensils and a Christmas tree was even provided, which was a lovely touch. Pretty flat, beautiful decorated and just right for 3 people working the food festival. Easy to find, parking might be an issue in summer but in October it was a breeze. Great hosts and would definitely recommend.

This is an absolutely fabulous an very spacious apartment! Extremely well equipped for cooking. Really big beautiful master bedroom and bathroom and a good twin with own bathroom. So close to lovely coves, the castle, beaches. Dartmouth is fantastic for families. We loved the little ferries and boat trip to the castle plus the steam train. Also great walks round the cliffs and coves.

“Alf’s Rooms are simply fantastic. We stayed in the two B&B rooms and the studio flat. The kids loved the bunk beds. We had a wonderful bedroom. My mum stayed in the studio flat and it has great decor and a cool nautical theme. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. Over Dartmouth, the river and you can see the sea.
You pop downstairs for the best breakfast in Dartmouth. Amazing service from all staff.”
