Great location for harbour, shops etc Only draw back was the bedroom and living room looked out on a brick wall. Stairs to lower floor were challenging!
We had a lovely stay
We had a lovely stay in Dartmouth for our mini moon. The location was very central and the house was lovely and cosy, and the air conditioning downstairs was very much appreciated during the heatwave! The only part I didn’t realise before we arrived was that the parking permit was for the park and ride about a 30 min walk / 7 minute bus ride away.
Great cosy apartment
Great host, very responsive and informative and great cosy apartment. Well equipped with fantastic standard of furniture, items and utensils. Apartment’s location is great, right in the heart of Dartmouth. Very easy booking and check in. We parked easily outside the flat to collect the park and ride permit and drop off luggage. Park and ride is really easy to locate and the buses are every 10 or so minutes so don’t be put off by this, traffic wardens patrol regularly. Downstairs the bedroom/bathroom is very spacious and comfortable. There was always hot water and both the shower and bath are lovely. Air conditioning downstairs in the bedroom was an absolute game changer as it was extremely warm when we stayed and upstairs did become quite warm but there was a fan and both windows opened so you could get a breeze but downstairs was beautiful with the aircon on. Would definitely stay again and 100% recommend to couples wanting a cosy romantic stay. Thanks to Paul and Your Devon Escapes

A beautiful 3 night stay in Dartmouth. Lower Heywood was everything we could have asked for: Very local to restaurants and shops and the quayside. A peaceful and relaxing stay.

Lovely, comfortable and homely
Heywood was a lovely, comfortable and homely place to stay. Ideally situated in the center of Dartmouth so everything was easily accessible. The parking permit for the local car park was extremely useful. Comfortable bed, good shower and a nice homely environment. We shall be back.

We had a lovely stay here! It’s a great location for wandering into town. We used it as a base to explore surrounding areas like salcombe. The kitchen is very well equipped which is always a bonus when cooking away from home. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Exactly as advertised
The elegant apartment was exactly as advertised. We were so pleased. The location is superb. The restaurants, bars and shops are all within an easy amble. Would highly recommend.
What an amazing Apartment
What an amazing Apartment and so close to the town, 1 minute walk. Lounge, kitchen/dining are perfect for two. Great facilities including dishwasher and washing machine. Bedroom downstairs made the place feel a bit different and special. Great bath and shower doesn't come much better. Would expect to pay more for this place!

We had an excellent stay at Lower Heywood in Dartmouth. The apartment was beautifully presented, very well equipped, and maintained to a high standard throughout. The rainfall shower was superb. It provided a comfortable and relaxing base, with everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. The location was ideal for exploring Dartmouth and the surrounding area, and we particularly appreciated the setting next to the River. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and we would not hesitate to recommend Lower Heywood to others.

home safely after a fabulous 5 nights at Lower Heywood. The apartment is beautifully kept and cosy. It has everything you need for a self catering break away. It is in a perfect central spot too. Its incredibly cosy, the bed was very comfy, fabulous shower, beautiful bath, (needs a blind replacing above the bed. For someone like me who sleeps better with the light shut out)

A lovely little find in South Devon! We had a really relaxing stay at the flat, it’s perfectly located right in the centre of town, yet still peaceful and quiet. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby, and it’s just a short walk to the ferries. Would definitely recommend!
Enjoyable stay
Great position close to centre of Dartmouth. Parking pass for central car park was excellent. Accommodation excellent- very clean and well laid out. Facilities excellent. We can thoroughly recommend this property.

Excellent place to stay
Excellent place to stay right in the heart of Dartmouth. Easy access to all the town centre has to offer without the usual climb up a big hill. Clean and tidy, great for couple with the bath and good shower with plenty of storage. Bed was comfy. Would recommend to others.

Lovely spacious central flat. Quality furnishings, comfortable and clean. The flat is very close to resturants shops and habour all short walking distance. The flat although on main road was very quiet and the bedroom suoer comfty. The bath was a lovely feature. We had a lovely weekend in Dartmouth and would totally recommend.

Would thoroughly recommend
We came for a much needed break and Lower Heywood was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved the roll top bath, powerful shower and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The food festival was a bonus for a wonderful town that has a special place in our hearts as we got engaged here 32 years ago. We enjoyed a farm shop breakfast at Stokely as well as visiting Burgh Island and walking from Dartmouth to Blackpool Sands along the coast path. Paul was very quick to respond to any questions we had and would thoroughly recommend Devon Escapes wholeheartedly!
Well located, very close to beautiful views.
Lower Heywood is well located, very close to beautiful views, shops and local restaurants. Out of season, if you’re lucky there is on street parking opposite which we benefitted from during our stay. The accommodation is well appointed with good quality fixtures and fittings and equipment. It is comfortable and warm. There is a stylish free standing bath as well as a good shower. We would definitely stay again.

An excellent stay in this apartment in the centre of Dartmouth. Very handy to have the parking permit and everything is within walking distance. The apartment is maintained and equipped to a very high standard making it a comfortable home away from home.
Great location
Great location , a minute walk to see the harbour. Opposite from the lower ferry crossing and would reccommend the walk to Blackpool Sands via Dartmouth Castle and South West Coastal Path. We caught the No 93 bus back into Dartmouth after lunch on the beach. Accommodation had everything you would expect.
Fantastic place
Fantastic place, great size and extremely well placed for the town, just a 1 minute walk. Bed and shower great and kitchen very well equipped. Very quite area and the parking permit is such a great addition. Only a 5 minute walk and spaces always available for us. You can park outside for an hour between 9am to 6pm. Outside of these hours is fine. Dartmouth offers so much and we really enjoyed the local area. Booked a week and luckily was able to stay an extra night.

One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in, great location, no real traffic noise at night and an easy walk to the shops and restaurants. A parking permit for the main car park in Dartmouth was provided by Paul which was much appreciated.

Excellent central apartment . Exactly as described . Beautiful inside and exceptionally clean. It has everything you need for a fabulous week in Dartmouth. Bed very comfy and great water pressure too ! Lovely to have the stunning bath and shower . Spacious with all amenities you need . Quality furniture and very high standard . Paul was outstanding with his communication, sent us a local booklet. He made it seamless for us and this was exactly what a guest needs . Thanks a million we will book again in the future .
