Hideaway Treat
We very much enjoyed our stay at Hideaway in Ringmore. The thatched cottage is an absolute delight, cleverly converted to the highest standard of design, decor and comfort. Equipped with all you need for a perfect stay with a few added twists to make it a home from home. Even a little pretty rear garden with table and chairs.
The charming village pub, unfortunately closed Mondays and Tuesdays is a short walk away and a mile walk will take you to the lovely coast and beaches and a little further on to beautiful Burgh Island.
There is a designated parking space 100m or so away, essential, as parking in the narrow roads of this quaint picture book village of Ringmore is at a premium. We parked a second car safely at Ringmore cross by the beautiful church.
We can highly recommend a stay here in this particularly stunning area which due to the narrow roads feels very remote too.
Thoroughly recommend Hideaway Cottage
Great stay at Hideaway Cottage. Paul, our host, was great and ensured we had all we needed for easy access to the property. The cottage is a home from home. Well equipped in a chocolate box quaint South Devon village. Just 5 minute stroll to the 12th Century Pub. You can walk circular routes from the front door including the fantastic Burgh Island. Don’t underestimate the narrow roads so suggest you try and avoid single track roads which can be perilous at times. We managed the main routes well without issues. The cottage is well equipped with excellent WiFi, super garden and a very comfy double bed. A great taste of country living for a few days. The welcome box of kitchen essentials was a nice touch. Paul was very responsive to messages and a great host. Thoroughly recommend Hideaway Cottage in the beautiful South Hams Gary & Diane

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Beautiful part of Devon, great local pub and a very cosy and comfortable place to stay. Spotlessly clean and exactly as described.
Better than expected!
Everything was better than expected. It was just a 5-minute walk up to the coast with its sensational views, and a 10-minute walk to a wonderful bay with a fantastic sandy beach. A cozy pub serving delicious food, beer, and pool was only a 2-minute walk away. Agatha Christie’s house, Plymouth, and Dartmouth were all within a 30- to 45-minute drive. And then, always returning to a truly cozy apartment that had everything a holiday rental needs: comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a wonderful garden for breakfast and chatting, two bathrooms, and a cozy sofa and armchair. We loved heading out every day to enjoy the beach and the surrounding area, and just as much loved coming back in the evening to sit together and get a good, comfortable rest for the next day—after a daily game of pool and a cold drink at the pub. Highly recommended—and as I said, everything was even better than expected.

Great place to stay for a few days. Village Pub needs to be booked for a meal weeks in advance. Lovely area, beaches great.
Great little cottage
Great little cottage. Nice and cool downstairs in the extreme heat. Loved the garden at the end of the path. Nice and quiet. Ayrmer Cove a little gem. Handy parking with the garage a short distance down the road.
Took a gamble on this one as we had not visited this part of Devon before but turned out to be a great stay. Thanks.
Couldn’t fault it at all!
I stayed at Hideaway cottage for three nights with my son, and we couldn’t fault it at all! Stunning cottage with everything you could need for a break away! Beautiful sleepy village, a stones throw away from the beach. The cottage is compact, but my 6ft 3inch son managed it, you just have to remember to watch out for the low beams. You’ll only hit your head once believe me. The fresh white bedlinen and towels provided are a real plus. Comfy beds and quiet surroundings made for a perfect nights sleep. The kitchen has every utensil/cooking essential you need, you name it Hideaway cottage will have it - perfect if you wanted to cook up a feast. Peaceful mature garden, which is ideal for summer evenings. We will definitely be returning for sure - Love Tara & Seb xx

Hideaway Cottage is a delightful thatched cottage in the pretty village of Ringmore. Tastefully equipped with everything you need for your holiday. Local pub in walking distance with excellent food. A short drive to Bigbury beach and the iconic Burgh Island. A perfect holiday location I will definitely be coming again
