The photo’s don’t quite match the listing – because, when you arrive the view is even more breathtaking than you can imagine. You simply can’t capture the beauty in a photograph. The house was gorgeous and being able to park safety in the garage was a real bonus. Wonderful views from all balconies and the patio meant we spent most of our time outside, but the home itself is fabulous too. Thanks for a great stay, none of us wanted to leave.

Just back from a lovely week at this property. Its a fantastic house in a great location for a 20 min walk into Dartmouth centre or a 5 min walk to the castle and nearby coves. Would definitely recommend it.

WOW!! We had such an incredible stay here. The photos don’t even do this property justice, it was so beautiful and felt like we were abroad. The decor is very tasteful and everything was spotless. We walked into Dartmouth town on one evening for dinner, and were within a short drive to Blackpool Sands beach.

Amazing house
We had a lovely holiday in this amazing house, all very high quality. Brilliant location and enjoyed sitting on the balconies watching over the river. Enjoyed catching the ferry into Dartmouth and found lots of shade for our dog in the park area! Although the weather was so hot and couldn’t go on as many walks as we would have liked the house and location made up for it as it was easy and enjoyable to hang around at home! Thank you!
Ideal for watching the world go by
Most property in this area looks across the river presenting either a view of Kingswear or Dartmouth. This property is near Dartmouth Castle and looks up river providing a spectacular view of both and from three floors! Ideal for watching the world go by, or as happened on our last night, watch a seal literally climb aboard a rib…couldn’t make it up. The location does mean a 20+ minute walk into town (the road being closed) alternatively the little Dartmouth Castle ferry into the centre is excellent. Few restaurants can match this view and while we ate out a couple of times out we primarily chose to dine in. Finally parking. This is on a narrow lane (Castle Road) and my Polestar is 7’ wide… you may well need to use the garage especially if like us you had two cars.
Surpassed all expectations.
Galion’s Quay surpassed all expectations. The location was superb, incredible views across the valley, easy walk to town and stunning coastal walks from the house. Stylish, comfortable home, a privilege to stay there. Our family of six had fantastic week and didn’t want to leave. Thanks to Paul for friendly, responsive support before we arrived. Thank you for amazing week. Loved Dartmouth and surrounding area, so beautiful and lots to do, lovely restaurants and pubs.

The views from this house are stunning!
The views from this house are stunning and the property is modern, clean and well equipped. On arrival at the house the garage was unavailable as the floor had been painted. As this is the location of the washer and dryer it was inconvenient not only for lack of off street parking but also the unavailability of laundry facilities. The latter was solved when we decided to walk on the newly painted floor. Parking for 2 vehicles is available on the street and this is where our cars remained. We never did use the garage. Once again the stunning views have to be emphasized. Recommend boat to Totnes and the Dartmouth Steam Train as well as the ferry to Greenway (NT). Colton Fishacre is very beautiful.

A truly special experience
If you want a truly special experience, book this house. From the moment you enter, you're met with the most spectacular views of Dartmouth and the river. The interior is beautifully designed and of very high quality - it's also really comfortable and welcoming. It's a short walk to the castle ferry which takes you by boat into Dartmouth. Paul was great at responding to any questions we had and we would definitely book again.

A Real Gem!
This property has been finished to an extremely high standard and didn't disappoint in any way. The views of Dartmouth are amazing and, being tucked away, is really quiet and secluded. The castle is only a short walk away as is the coastal path if you like walking. Dartmouth town is only 15mins or so by foot. I would certainly like to return in the future.

Had a wonderful stay at Galions Quay! The photos don’t do it justice, stunning views on the river, perfect for a rainy getaway. Perfect for 2 families, us and our baby plus our friends and their 2 kids 4&7. Walkable into town with beautiful views of the river. Paul was informative and helpful and we were able to hire a high chair and travel cot for bub. The renovations next door were not an issue for us we didn’t hear any noise. Well stocked house with lovely touched. We’d love to come again!!

We booked this place for a family pre Xmas stay and were not disappointed in any way. The house is as described, but better in the reality. It felt like a home from home, spacious, warm, perfect;y clean, and the high quality and comfortable furnishings were appreciated by all. Lovely location by the river and an easy walk to Dartmouth. Very, very good.

Very luxurious
Very nice villa and very luxurious, and it was very clean. It will definitely be our option every time we come to Dartmouth. Really liked it and they were so nice and the instructions were very easy to find the villa although the road was closed, but they made it very easy to find it We reached late at night and it was raining but thanks to clear instructions. We find the villa and we really enjoyed it. Our family really like the place and we just felt like home.
The house was amazing
The house was amazing from the moment we got there and whilst the weather was a little interesting on day 1, it didn’t matter as we had a great place to relax in. Paul was awesome with clear instructions from the outset and checked in to make sure all was good. Cannot recommend it enough and will be looking at a return trip in the spring.

I spent the weekend with friends at a modern luxury property in Dartmouth, set right on the river within a striking new building, and it was nothing short of outstanding.
From the moment we arrived, the quality and attention to detail were evident. The architecture is contemporary yet beautifully in keeping with Dartmouth’s coastal elegance, with large glass panels framing uninterrupted views across the river. Watching the boats glide by with a morning coffee – and later as the sun set with a glass of wine – was pure indulgence.
Inside, the property is flawlessly designed with a perfect balance of style and comfort. The interiors feel luxurious without being overstated: soft textures, high-end furnishings, and a calming, neutral palette that instantly made us feel relaxed and at home. Every room was immaculate, with spacious bedrooms, indulgent bathrooms, and a living area that felt both sociable and serene.

Booked for a long family weekend (3 adult couples) and had a fabulous stay. The property is the perfect balance between a 10-15 minute walk into central Dartmouth and a nice, quiet location with spectacular riverside views towards Dartmouth harbour. Furnished to an exceptionally high standard. Paul's communication and responsiveness, before and during our stay was flawless. Would 100% recommend!

We had a really lovely stay at Galions quay. The house is beautiful and immaculately appointed. Its location is perfect for being close to Dartmouth town but also just removed enough to be quiet. We especially loved being near to Dartmouth castle and the coves for swimming. The house itself has everything we needed and Paul was a great host. We’d stay there again without question.
Amazing 5 nights stay
Amazing 5 nights stay at this beautifully furnished new property. Incredible location with panoramic views of the river and harbour. 20 mins walk to the town - a bit far for some people maybe but we wanted a quieter spot. Clean and comfortable bedrooms, modern kitchen with top of the line appliances, complementary coffee was a nice touch, good quality linen and toiletries. Great secure parking space. Paul was friendly and responsive. Overall highly recommended and won’t hesitate to return. PS: beautiful sunny weather definitely helped!

WOW!
Wow. What a very special place this is. For a start it’s in a brilliant position overlooking the river in lovely Dartmouth. But there’s more to it than that - the house itself has been finished and furnished to a very high standard of both comfort and amenities. Everything worked easily and as you would expect. The layout is stylish and designed to make the most of all the views - and I’m sure the fire and downstairs tv snug would be lovely during an autumnal stay. On a practical note, off street parking in the immaculate garage is a big bonus and there are many wonderful dog walks (or just people walks!) straight from the door. Thanks to all involved in designing, presenting, cleaning and managing. An exceptional property.

The WOW Factor!
The house definitely had the wow factor. It is in a stunning location looking down the estuary to Dartmouth. The house is beautifully presented, and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. There was plenty of parking, and walking into Dartmouth was an easy stroll. Paul was so helpful answering all our queries and was very responsive. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at the beautiful property.
