Overlooking the golf course and rolling countryside, this light filled retreat is perfect for families, couples, or friends looking to relax, explore, and enjoy one of the most scenic lodges in Devon. What a lovely lodge
Beautiful outlook & so quiet, the perfect place for me & the family to celebrate my 50th. Lots of outside space & furniture to use. Hottub was ready to use when we arrived. Rooms are all a good size with fresh bedding & fluffy towels & all had fans. There’s an amazing selection of glasses, cutlery & kitchen accessories, a hoover & a washer dryer too. Great that we were able to use the facilities at the hotel, burger was delicious & all the staff were really friendly. Had a couple of golf balls come our way which was expected as you are close to the fairway. Very good food in the sportsmans arms which is about 5 minute drive. Used the park & ride to Dartmouth as being school holidays it was very busy in the carparks in town.
Beautiful lodge
Beautiful lodge very clean and spacious. Everything we needed was there and we enjoyed using the spa and golf course. Well positioned for exploring the local area, the lodge was very peaceful with lovely views of fields, sheep and the golf course!
The accommodation was fantastic
Very new, modern, well-equipped, and in tip-top condition. It was also delightful to watch the first golfers of the day while enjoying coffee at sunrise. However, it is indeed possible for golf balls to land in the garden. Overall, we felt very comfortable, and the location is excellent for exploring Devon. The only “criticism” is that the outdoor tiling was still very dirty or sticky from the previous guests, and the outdoor areas surrounding the bungalows were very “plain.” In our view, adding plants, bushes, trees, etc., would significantly enhance the setting. Also, we find it hard to understand why the “pool” isn’t included given the steep nightly rate, though, to be fair, we were aware of this beforehand.

Lovely place
Lovely place and we were helped by good weather. Facilities were good. We loved Dartmouth and Salcombe and the nearby Blackpool Sands had ample car parking and lots of space. The reason for a 4 star review not five was the last minute information that the outside space was in danger of stray golf balls and it would have been good to have that in the main spec. We had a 2 year old in party and it would have been good to know that before making a decision. Only issue in the house and to be fair this was a freak week so very high chance it won’t impact others is that in terms of the very hot weather was that there was little you could do to cool the place down - but that would have the case wherever you went on holiday on the first couple of days.

Great location
Great location -only 30 mins to salcombe, beaches /Dorset etc close by. Peaceful and near lots of places to see. The lodge is spotless and well equipped. Would recommend to stay here.
Excellent value
Excellent value for money for a short break to our mum's birthplace Devon. Lodge was very comfortable with everything you need. Fab views and peaceful setting. Great selection of restaurants in Dartmouth. Would recommend Rockfish for fresh seafood and trips to both Blackpool and Slapton Sands which was the location of the tragic Exercise Tiger practice for D-Day landings. We will be back to continue the journey of our Devonian ancestry soon. Thank you Paul and team for making our accommodation welcoming and comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful stay
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone. The place is beautifully decorated, very clean, and extremely well equipped — it had everything we needed and more. You can really see the attention to detail, which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen was fully equipped, everything worked perfectly, and the whole lodge felt modern and well maintained. The area is peaceful and perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It’s an ideal place for both a short break and a longer stay. We would definitely love to come back and will be recommending it to our friends!

Amazing weekend stay for my mums 60th birthday! The accommodation was exactly as pictured, very clean and came with lots of homely extras that you don’t always get! Instructions and communication all very clear! 5 minute drive down into the beautiful town of Dartmouth, with lovely places to eat or just a general stunning walk around. We added the hot tub and it was just perfect!

Fantastic stay and would come again!
Great place to stay to explore Dartmouth and the whole of south hams. Hot tub is a great addition and golfers wandering by provided entertainment all day long! Can recommend the Sportsmans arms for dinner and the old inn, also worth going to Dittisham and getting the ferry over to greenway! Fantastic stay and would come again!

A Special Place!
I had an amazing stay at this lodge! The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfect – close to everything I needed but still quiet and relaxing. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in and check-out a breeze. I really appreciated that the host kindly allowed me a late check-out when I asked – thank you for that! The little touches like fresh towels, coffee, and local recommendations really made the experience special. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We had a lovely week at the lodge.Spacious and very clean. Relly enjoyed relaxing in the grounds and using the hot tub. Very well equipped with everything you might need and a perfect location to explore the local area. Highly reccomended.

We stayed at the lodge as a family of four in April and had a fantastic experience. The lodge was immaculate, beautifully equipped, and exceptionally comfortable – especially the superking bed. Despite some ongoing resort development, it was peaceful with stunning views over the golf course and hills. We enjoyed the hot tub, patio furniture, and access to the nearby hotel’s pool facilities. The location was ideal for family outings, including a great day at Woodlands theme park. With everything we needed for home-cooked meals and excellent local dining, it was a memorable week – so much so, we’ve already booked to return in August!
