A small but perfect room
A small but perfect room for a weekend at the music festival. Right in the heart of town, great location. Every detail in the room had been considered and very comfortable beds. Breakfast downstairs is a treat and the hosts are delightful, a great find thank you

“Such a perfect little place in the heart of Dartmouth. Very clean and tidy, had everything you need. The agent was perfect and couldn’t have ask for more of helpful contact with a good recommendations of the surrounding area. The room was wonderful and the fact it came with breakfast was an added bonus, the cafe downstairs is a real treat. Really enjoyed my stay here, would definitely recommend and would very much stay again and would also stay in the other accommodation joined with this one. Thanks to the host for a wonderful stay!”
compact, but perfectly functional
Perfect if you need a bunk room to crash in the centre of Dartmouth. Ideal for sailors not wanting to stay on board, or for anyone wanting to enjoy the delights of Dartmouth. It is compact, but perfectly functional and perfectly located. Great breakfasts included downstairs at the wonderful Cafe Alfresco.
Location is excellent
Location is excellent but the room was smaller than I anticipated. I am a larger man and couldn’t get into the gap in the shower. Also the room was very warm. Just letting larger people know that maybe one of the other rooms in the property would be better suited. Breakfast in the cafe downstairs was superb (one of the reasons I can’t get in the shower!).

Lovely room, clean and nicely decorated. We found it perfectly spacious even for two adults — overall convenient and well appointed. Great location too!
Ideal accommodation
Ideal accommodation for music festival. Central location but away from street noise. Bunk room is rather small but beautifully formed. I stayed alone this visit but room have shared with a friend in the past during a biking tour. It was a lovely place to lay our heads. Outstanding breakfast, any options from extensive menu, included in the price in the restaurant below that is open from 7am to 2 . No booking or pre ordering hazzle that adds to a relaxing stay and I could sleep in as the mood took me but useful if an early start is required. Very popular and atmospheric eating venue and as a lone visitor was lovely to enjoy the busy cheerful vibe.
The best stay for a while!
"Al Fresco’s cafe and bnb rooms are obviously legendary in Dartmouth, sitting right in the heart of the waterfront area. We were lucky to get an opportunity to stay in this amazingly well designed and run place for 4 nights. Our room was compact but uncluttered, and so well designed we didn’t have a problem using the space. The free brunch, available from 7 til 2, was the icing on the cake. Offering the best cooked breakfast I have ever had anywhere, to some great original brunch dishes, to generous coffee servings, it was the best place we could have stayed. Very busy all morning, but the incredibly friendly and professional staff managed to find us a table every time. The host Paul was great in responding quickly to any queries I emailed, not that there were any problems at all. The best stay I have had anywhere for a long time".

Amazing stay!
"Alf's Rooms are simply fantastic. We stayed in the two B&B rooms and the studio flat. The kids loved the bunk beds. We had a wonderful bedroom. My mum stayed in the studio flat and it has great decor and a cool nautical theme. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. Over Dartmouth, the river and you can see the sea.
You pop downstairs for the best breakfast in Dartmouth. Amazing service from all staff."
