Set in the heart of Torcross, overlooking the dramatic sweep of Start Bay, 9 At The Beach is a beautifully presented first-floor apartment offering comfort, style and an unbeatable coastal setting.
Step inside and you’re immediately welcomed by a bright, contemporary living space where deep blue accents echo the sea beyond. Large windows frame views of both the beach and Slapton Ley, creating a constantly changing backdrop whether you’re enjoying breakfast at the oak dining table or unwinding on the generous sofas after a day exploring.
The open-plan layout makes it easy to spend time together. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, combined washer/dryer, microwave, cafetière and two under-counter fridges with freezer compartments, everything you need for relaxed self-catering. The dining area seats six comfortably, ideal whether you’re a family of four or making use of the optional sofa bed to accommodate two additional guests (£15 per person, per day).
The master bedroom is a calm and inviting retreat, complete with double bed, TV, ample storage and a stylish en-suite bathroom featuring bath with shower over, heated towel rail and quality fittings. The second bedroom offers twin beds, TV and a Juliet balcony, perfect for letting in the sea air. A separate family shower room provides additional convenience.
Children are warmly welcomed, with a travel cot (we ask that you bring your own cot bedding), highchair, books, games CD unit and DVDs available. Four-legged guests are equally at home here, with space for up to two dogs (additional fee applies) and dog beds thoughtfully provided.
Outside, a communal patio offers a pleasant spot for morning coffee (Cafeteria supplied) , while your dedicated parking space across from the building makes arrivals effortless. From here, you’re just steps from the three-mile stretch of Slapton Sands, ideal for bracing walks, paddling, paddle-boarding or simply soaking up the South Devon scenery.
Beyond the beach, Torcross offers popular cafés and restaurants, while nearby Slapton village, Stokely Farm Shop, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe provide endless options for dining, shopping and exploring.

Notes
Weeks commencing 9 & 16 March will see the internal communal areas undergo some re-decorating. During the same period there will be some re-surfacing work in the rear courtyard area.
A379 Access:
Due to recent storm damage to the main road between Slapton and Torcross we advise that you enter via the town of Kingsbridge. Full details will be sent in pre-arrival details.
Parking:
There is one parking space in the development's car park, which is located just across from the building.
There is limited additional parking in front of the building and in the triangular area to the left, which is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is also a long stay pay and display car park which is a few minutes walk away controlled via the 'pay-by-parking' app.
Pets:
Two pets allowed, Please ensure they are included in the booking form (additional charge applies). We ask that pets are not allowed on beds or furniture; two dog beds are provided and are stored under the bed in the master bedroom.
Entrance/Number of steps:
There are four steps into the building with seventeen stairs to the apartment.

Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and sign & agree to our rental conditions.
Neighborhood
Opposite this coastal apartment you will find the 'Billy Can Cafe', where visitors can grab food, drink, home-made cakes etc. plus bird food for the ducks. For other food, necessities and newspapers, Slapton Community Shop is walkable or a short drive (once / if road is repaired) and Stokely Farm Shop is just up the road, about 15-20 minutes gentle walk, with farm shop, good cafe, Pizza nights and excellent cider brewery, plus individual small shops for crafts and plants etc.
A little further afield, but still just a few minutes' drive or a good long walk, there is a Co-Op and nearer still, the Spar shop, with Ashby's next door for household, holiday and sailing necessities.
The area is home to its own unique World War Two history. Make sure to check out the Sherman Tank located in the beach car park and learn the moving story of what took place here in 1943.
Torcross Beach is one of the UK’s dog friendly beaches, so make sure to bring your pooch along for your trip to Devon! It is the perfect place to relax, swim, walk or paddleboard. On top of being a popular beach to both visitors and locals alike, it plays an important part in the survival of some of the UK’s rarest flora and fauna.
