The primary focus of Rolster Bridge is to bring visitors back to nature at this ecofriendly glamping spot in South Devon, whilst having a positive influence on the local environment, the local economy and society.

This glamping site itself is fully off-grid.  The owners are passionate about making it carbon neutral and having the lowest possible impact on the local environment. Return to nature in Devon whilst creating a positive impact on your surroundings.

The container is very comfortable.  It is fully insulated and double glazed, so are sure to be cosy even in the colder months. It also benefits from solar power, enough for lighting and a small phone charger. An initial supply of drinking water is provided on-site and stored in recycled containers.

In keeping with the ethos of this ecofriendly stay, the kitchen is outdoors and attached to the container.  It provides all your basic cooking needs; enough to start the day with bacon and eggs and a great cuppa.  A cool box is provided, allowing the basics to be kept chilled for up to forty-eight hours on your glamping break to South Devon.

The container is fitted with a double bed and a sofa bed, accommodating two adults and two children with space for you to bring a small travel bed or cot if required.  High quality bed linen and towels will be provided.

There’s a compost toilet and shower provided and located in the hen house (no hens currently). The shower has hot water but in limited supply.  Sufficient though for a quick rinse and freshen up.

Adjacent to the container is a seating area, made with local wood and stone, straight from the quarry. The fire pit is a great fit for gourmet cooking. We provide one bag of wood initially but do add it to the booking form if you need think you might need more before arriving.

"Beautiful and peaceful place. You can hear the sound of the river and birds. Recommended when the weather is good to enjoy a really nice coffee provided on a riverside bench".
