Rolster Bridge is an ecofriendly glamping site, perfect for an off-the-grid couple’s escape. Hidden within the trees near the quaint village of Harbertonford and a stone’s throw from Totnes, revel in the peace and tranquillity of Devon woodland whilst being close to the action. It is simply quite unique.

If you are looking for an escape from the realities of daily life in South Devon, this ‘Green Bank’ glamping site won’t disappoint.  The primary focus of Rolster Bridge is to bring glampers back to nature, whilst having a positive influence on the local environment, economy and society. Put away the phones and laptops, pack the marshmallows to roast, and simply indulge in one another’s company.

The container itself is considerably comfortable. Fitted with a double bed and sofa bed (perfect for two additional little ones), it is ideal for snuggling up together after a day of exploring the local area. The site is also fully insulated and double glazed, keeping you cosy even on colder nights.

In keeping with the ethos of this ecofriendly stay, the kitchen is outdoors and attached to the container.  It provides all your cooking needs; enough to start the day with bacon and eggs and a great cuppa.  A cool box is also provided, allowing the basics to be kept chilled for up to forty-eight hours on your visit to South Devon.

Adjacent to the container is a seating area, made with local wood and stone, straight from the local quarry. The fire pit is a great fit for gourmet cooking or simply roasting some marshmallows of an evening. We provide one bag of wood initially, but please do add extra bags to your booking form if you think you might need additional bags for your stay.

There’s a compost toilet and shower provided, located in the hen house (no hens currently). The shower has hot water but in limited supply.  It is sufficient though for a quick rinse and spruce. It is certainly a refreshing change from the normal pressure of life.

Rolster Bridge offers you a unique and ecofriendly glamping option in South Devon. Step off-grid and enjoy the wonders of an escape from your every day. It is a truly magical experience that will not be forgotten. Indulge in the precious time of one another and the beauty that South Devon has to offer.

We do ask that you read ‘Finer Details’ below.

The glamping site benefits from solar power, providing enough power for lights and a small phone charger. An initial supply of drinking water is provided on-site and stored in recycled containers. This can be filled locally, with all necessary information available in your welcome pack.

The area is teeming with wildlife. Regular visitors include otters, kingfishers and even the odd brown trout! In fact, this South Devon glamping site is truly a little wildlife sanctuary of its own.  Chill out with your nearest and dearest, filling your days with pure discovery and laughter without leaving the site!

If you want to step out of your quiet bubble to explore more of the beautiful nature in this county, this South Devon glamping site is a stone’s throw from the bustling market town of Totnes. Make sure to take a visit and enjoy the independent shops and eateries. Head up to Dartmoor National Park to see the ponies or out on the South West Coast Path to explore the local beaches. Find hidden coves or simply stop at one of the crowd favourites such as Blackpool Sands or Bigbury-On-Sea.

"Beautiful and peaceful place. You can hear the sound of the river and birds. Recommended when the weather is good to enjoy a really nice coffee provided on a riverside bench".
