Ideally suited to a couple, but with the flexibility to accommodate a small family, it's a lovely choice for everything from a few nights away to a longer North Devon escape.

Step inside and you'll find a relaxed, homely interior with plenty of character. The kitchen and dining area provides the everyday facilities you'll need for your stay, whether you're preparing a leisurely breakfast before heading out or enjoying an easy evening meal at home.

The cottage offers comfortable spaces in which to relax, including a TV and seating area, ideal for putting your feet up after a busy day exploring.

The main bedroom is arranged around a king-size bed, creating a comfortable retreat at the end of the day. Warm wooden flooring and a calming colour palette give the room a welcoming, homely feel.

For guests travelling with a child or as a small family, a sofa bed can be provided for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking, as it will need to be prepared specifically for your stay.

The cottage also has its own shower room, providing a practical space to freshen up before another day discovering Devon.

Having private parking at the cottage also makes day trips particularly easy.

From Barnstaple you can head out towards North Devon's beautiful coastline, sandy beaches, traditional villages and rolling countryside, returning at the end of the day to the comfort and privacy of your own cottage.

The entire cottage is linked to the main house but has its own rear entrance area.

Sofa Bed:
Can be provided for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking, as it will need to be prepared specifically for your stay.

Private parking for one car on the driveway.

North Devon has become the twelfth location from around the globe to be selected as a World Surfing Reserve, an international designation that has joined Malibu and Santa Cruz in California, and the Gold Coast and Manly in Australia as a WSR. The designation recognises the quality of the surf as well as the sport's importance to the wider community.

Clovelly, North Devon. Britain's Most socially shared Village and harbour, famous for its lobsters (and crabs) with boat trips to Lundy, Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Croyde (great for surfing) Instow (ideal for paddleboarding on the estuary and a hidden gem in the dunes, The Glorious Oyster, excellent crab, lobster, oysters, fish specials, coffee, and cake). Westward Ho!, (Kite Surf) and Appledore are all approximately ten to twelve miles away.

North Devon Biosphere Reserve is situated in the estuary of the Taw and Torridge Rivers in North Devon. The core area comprises an active dune system with geomorphological and successional processes. Other habitats include a rocky foreshore, mud and sand flats, saltmarshes of various types, lowland farmland, grazing marsh, coastal heath, back-shore marsh as well as woodlands.

Lundy Island is in the Bristol Channel off the west coast of Devon. It attracts many visitors, both for its lovely and peaceful surroundings and is the UK’s first marine protected area. Explore an unspoilt island, home to a fascinating array of wildlife amidst dramatic scenery. Stroll through the village and discover a disused lighthouse.

Explore Crow point, not many people make it over there, it is out of this world, on a sunny day you could be in the Caribbean. Take a picnic and relax in the idyllic surroundings, for those that want some exercise you can walk around the corner and on to Saunton Sands or go through Braunton burrows and the dunes.

There are some lovely golf courses in the area, try Saunton Golf Club or the Royal North Devon and Portmore Golf Park.
