Accessed via a number of steps from the road below, from the moment you step inside, the sense of space and light is immediately apparent. The ground floor has been thoughtfully opened up to create a sociable living environment where the lounge, dining area and kitchen flow effortlessly together. Large windows frame the ever-changing views across the town and river, creating a natural focal point whether you’re enjoying a slow breakfast or unwinding after a day by the coast.
The sitting area is warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating and a calm, contemporary aesthetic that encourages you to truly switch off. The adjoining dining space offers a generous table for shared meals, while the kitchen is well-equipped for everything from simple suppers to relaxed entertaining.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are arranged across two floors, each offering its own sense of comfort and style. On the first floor, you’ll find a king-size bedroom and a single room, both benefitting from elevated views across Dartmouth and the river below, alongside a rear-facing double bedroom. These rooms are served by a family bathroom with shower.
The top floor is dedicated to a spacious king-size bedroom, creating a peaceful retreat with its own elevated perspective across the surrounding landscape, a perfect spot to wake slowly and take in the morning light.
To the rear of the property, a courtyard leads up to a delightful terraced garden, a true highlight of the home. With a raised seating area that captures the views across the town, it’s an idyllic setting for morning coffee, long lunches or evening drinks as the sun softens over the rooftops.
A separate ground floor shower room, laundry area and WC add further convenience, particularly for larger groups.
Flag Cottage offers the perfect balance of tranquillity and accessibility. Set in an elevated position, yet just a short stroll from Dartmouth’s vibrant centre, you’ll have easy access to its independent shops, waterside restaurants and scenic river walks.
Whether you’re exploring the South West Coast Path, visiting nearby beaches such as Blackpool Sands, or simply enjoying the view with a glass of something chilled, Flag Cottage is a stylish and memorable base for your time in Dartmouth.
