Whether you are celebrating with your mum or another mother figure in your life, there are lots of events and attractions that will allow you to spend some quality time with the special ladies in your life.  Many venues across Devon have special Mother’s Day out events, and we have included some of our favourite places to go on Mother’s Day below.  Experiences are not only a thoughtful gift that the whole family can enjoy, but they are also better value than physical presents that can end up gathering dust.

A Free Cream Tea for Mum at Becky Falls

If you are looking for places to go on Mother’s Day in Devon, why not get outdoors with the whole family with a trip to Dartmoor’s famous Becky Falls.  Say hi to the animals, from goats and ponies to meerkats and giant tortoises.  Or head to the Animal Discovery Centre to find their more exotic residents.  Check out the ‘What’s On’ board on arrival for events you can take part in during your visit.  Dogs are also welcome, so be sure to bring them along and check out one the circular walks.  And if you book online using the code MUM2024, they will treat mum to a FREE cream tea.

Afternoon Tea

Are you ready to treat your mum figure this Mother’s Day?  Lots of venues across Devon are offering delicious afternoon teas for you to enjoy whilst you celebrate the important women in your life.  Warm scones with local clotted cream and jams, it is the perfect way to anyone’s heart on this special day.  There is an endless selection of places to go on Mother’s Day for a local afternoon tea, but if you are looking for something unique, why not book onto the Stuart Line Cruises, to indulge on the water.

Enjoy a free Mother’s Day out to a National Trust property if you are a National Lottery player.  The National Trust are saying thank you to all National Lottery players for one week in March for the vital conservation work that has been carried out due to the charity’s donation.  Take a stroll through gardens, admire the properties, and enjoy some quality time together in one of England’s most loved venues.  Check out the National Trust website to find out which properties are in involved in this scheme and whether you need to book tickets in advance.
