Brixham Pirate Festival

Brixham Pirate Festival first started back in 2007 by members of the local community who wanted to liven up a pretty quiet bank holiday weekend.  Since its humble beginnings, the festival has grown into one of the biggest pirate gatherings in the world.  It attracts people from all over to take part in its seaside shenanigans and pirate-themed fun.  And what’s more… it’s completely FREE!

Wander round the harbour and discover all sorts of pirate antics including live music, street performers, street theatre, balloon modelling, historic re-enactments, fancy dress, and themed food and drink.  The daytime and early evenings are brilliant fun for the whole family, and, in the late evenings, the adults can keep warm with a few extra rums in the harbourside bars.  There truly is something for everyone at this themed Devon event.

Come along and dress up!  The whole town will be decked out while the sound of seagulls, shanties, and skirmishes float through the air.  There sure is a real party atmosphere.  Be sure to check out this unique and wild event on Your Devon Escape.
