Crabbing

Children love crabbing.  It is simply a fact.  If you don’t already have the gear, then there are lots of places in town where you can pick up some supplies.  Grab a line and some bait. Get stuck in along the harbour wall.  This activity can be fun for all ages so make it a family trip out.  Please be sure to always keep your kids under close supervision as no one wants to end a fun day crabbing dripping wet!  How many crabs can you catch?

Quaywest

Splashdown Waterpark at Quaywest is next to Goodrington Sands, a stone’s throw from Brixham.  With twisting tyre rides, slippery waterslides, it is the essential addition to your seaside day out, summer staycation or family holiday.  It is the biggest outdoor waterpark in the UK, with spectacular views and eight adrenaline-filled flume rides.  Splashdown is a great day out for all ages. Shoalstone Seawater Pool

Shoalstone Pool is a 53-metre sea water swimming pool located on Brixham seafront. Built into a natural rockpool during Victorian times, it is one of the few sea pools left in the UK.  Whether it’s a hot day and you need to cool off, or you simply fancy a cold yet refreshing dip, this pool is the ideal location.  A short walk from the centre of town, stop for a bite to eat before or after your dip.  Look out to sea and admire the views across Torbay as you enjoy your leisurely swim.  This is one of the most unique activities for kids in Brixham, be sure to check it out.

The Golden Hind

This is the main family attraction in Brixham and combines living history with plenty of pirate fun.  Step back in time and explore the five decks of the full-sized replica of Sir Francis Drake’s Tudor galleon.  Drake was a brilliant navigator and on his first ship, The Golden Hind, he became the first Englishman to circumnavigate the globe in an epic expedition.  Take a trip to the harbour and step aboard, exploring the history in modern day.  This is the perfect all-weather activity for Your Devon Escape, with indoor and outdoor areas to explore.

Wizz Kidz

Wizz Kidz is a soft play and party centre of pure fun.  With football pitch, rock climbing wall, toddler zone and more, it is the perfect day out for young children.  Sit and watch your children run and play. They have designed the play area in age groups so that they can interact with children of similar age and develop those necessary social skills.  This venue is the perfect activity for all weathers in Brixham.
