A small cove of shingles and rocks that is only accessible when the tide is out. It is accessed via wooden and concrete steps from the Castle car park. Limited parking is available, so why not take the ferry from the Dartmouth embankment along the river. There are toilets and a shop at the top of the steps to the beach. In addition, there is a lovely tearoom if you need an ice cream or cream tea. The beach has a natural diving platform for those wanting to take a plunge. Sadly, there are no lifeguards present at this beach, but dogs are welcome.
Accessed via the South West Coast Path from Dartmouth Castle, this is a remote, quiet beach of shingle and rocks. There is parking, a tearoom and toilets located at Dartmouth Castle. Sadly, there are no lifeguards present, but dogs are allowed throughout the year.
A popular and privately owned beach with fine shingle sand. There is easy access from the car park or you can walk down from Strete, Stoke Fleming or Dartmouth. Wheelchair access is possible via the ramp. There is a café with indoor and outdoor seating, a beach shop, water sports hire, and toilets with showers and baby changing facilities. Lifeguards are present on the beach between July and September. Parking charges apply throughout the summer months.
This shingle beach has level access from the road. Toilets and picnic tables are available, alongside a delightful seasonal shack (Lime Coffee Co.) selling coffees, teas, and tasty treats. There are no lifeguards present on the beach, but plenty of parking, with charges applying.
SLAPTON SANDS AND TORCROSS BEACH
A shingle beach which has level access via the car park. There is a seasonal ice cream van serving you cold tasty treats on a hot day. Make sure to check out Slapton Ley and the Nature Reserve on the other side of the main road.
A single beach backed by an access track. The beach is located 20m away from the car park. There are no lifeguards present at this beach, but there is a pub and toilets available. Disabled users can access the beach via one of two slipways.
This is quiet beach with fine shingle. It is 20m from the car park, which is free of charge. Join the South West Coast Path for 500m to reach the ruined South Hallsands viewing platform. Sadly, there are no lifeguards present on the beach.
