Had a great time
Excellent location in the centre of town. 2 mins to the harbour, no steep hills. Lovely rooms, large opening windows. Very clean. Breakfast was the best we have ever had. Great host, very responsive. Quiet road. Mattress could have been abit more sopportive but overall was excellent. Had a great time

A very well turned out room with facilities.
A few tweaks newded
Positives: car park pass/comfortable bed/powerful shower. Suggestions: have a mirror near a power socket/reserve table at breakfast for guests (if guests give time for breakfast 'slot' table would be available to the public outside these times - we foolishly went down around 10am and would have faced a 30 min wait to be seated. My suggestion - get down by 7am, Alf Fresco is hugely popular with the public (rightly so, geat breakfast) so I was sorry to miss out on it!
Best B&B we’ve stayed in
Best value B and B we’ve stayed in. Spacious room with comfy firm bed. Amazing breakfast included - proper fresh orange juice, locally sourced bacon, sausage and egg. A popular place for breakfast.
Fabulous Little Find
"Fabulous little ‘find’ in the heart of Dartmouth above a wonderful cafe serving incredible breakfasts! The room was clean & functional with seaside memorabilia, paintings & a comfy king size bed & the coffee & tea making facilities were a pleasing extra! The bathroom was like a tardis with a huge shower & served its purpose for our stay!"

"What a wonderful place to stay! I was extremely lucky to get this booking due to a cancellation of my hotel just hours before. Paul responded straight away with no hassle and just like that I was sorted. The place itself is in an amazing part of Dartmouth with the river and all local restaurants within walking distance. The room was in amazing condition and looked exactly like advertised! I could not recommend this place enough!!"
Fabulous Time
"We had a fabulous time in Dartmouth, the room was the perfect size, clean and cosy. It did heat up quite a bit towards the end of the day as it faces the sun all afternoon. But nothing an open window in the evening couldn’t fix. However, was a perfect location and the breakfast was amazing. Overall, we had a great time and we will be returning! 😁"

"This is a gem, right in the centre of Dartmouth. Everything from start to finish was marvellous. Breakfast at Alfs was super good. This is a truly unique place. Next booking we hope to go for the Captains apartment at top of house. We highly recommend King Alf’s."
