Such a wonderful stay
We had such a wonderful stay at this cottage, it was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm, welcoming, and instantly relaxing. It’s the perfect place to unwind and switch off. The accommodation itself was fantastic, with everything thoughtfully set up to make our stay comfortable. Devon is such a special place, and this cottage really lets you enjoy it to the fullest, especially if you’re bringing a dog along! One of the highlights for us was how dog-friendly everything was. There are beautiful nearby beaches, including options for both dogs and families, which made days out easy and enjoyable. Back at the cottage, the small orchard was such a lovely touch, our four-legged family member absolutely loved exploring, sniffing around, and having a little adventure of their own. Overall, a truly restful and memorable stay. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, especially fellow dog owners.
Absolutely loved this place
Absolutely loved this place and don’t think the pictures do it justice. Beautiful cottage with amazing fireplace and period features. It was perfect for a winter break, a really cosy and peaceful place, but also imagine it would make a wonderful spring/summer break with the orchard and bbq areas. It is down narrow lanes, but this is for me added to the character and sense of peace and remoteness. Also, Paul was really responsive, helpful and flexible with arrangements. Would love to book again in the future!
Amazing Christmas stay
The most amazing and charming cottage. We had the best time staying at Cider Cottage for Christmas with our two children. The cottage was clean, tidy, well equipped with all cooking utensils and a Christmas tree was even provided, which was a lovely touch. The only small improvement we would suggest is to have a full pack of logs on arrival as we were only left with three and these were burnt in an hour or two with the cold evenings. Thank you so much again for such a wonderful stay, we would love to visit again.

Absolutely beautiful little cottage.
Absolutely beautiful little cottage. Perfect for a little family getaway with the grandparents and our 1 year old. Very quiet and private.
Lovely peaceful location,
Lovely peaceful location, loved the secure little private courtyard at the front, we could sit leave the door open so the dog could come and go freely, the grassy area a few yards away was also great for the dog to explore. Cottage was clean and tidy and beds were very comfy. Seemed to have everything you need although we didn’t do any cooking during our stay. One thing to be aware of is that one of the roads to access the cottage is very narrow with no passing places for about a mile although the road is pretty quiet. We found if you turn right out of the cottage then right again after 20 yards that was the best road to use.

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful part of Devon. Good location for South Hams. Cottage was perfect and more than met our expectations.
Thoroughly enjoyable
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. After wet beach walks we enjoyed warming up in front of the log burner watching a film. A really peaceful location and we felt right at home and comfortable straight away. Location was great for exploring neighbouring towns, beaches and amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

Cider House is a beautiful and very clean house. Few meters away from it is a small green area with a few benches, trees and grass. Also there is pleace for barbecue. Front garden was secure for my dog witch was a bonus. Great communication with Poul and localization just few minutes by car to the beautiful beaches of Devon! We had a great stay!

This is a super place, in a quiet, peaceful location.
The accommodation has been well thought through, absolutely everything you need is to hand, the kitchen is so well stocked with utensils it puts mine to shame!
