This restaurant in Dartmouth focusses on providing a modern take on classic dishes. Owned by Head Chef Luca Berardino, all his recipes are developed and tested in house.  The menu consists of a range of small plates and they also offers a full vegan menu.  It is a delight for those who love an evening of sharing food as well as conversation. The dishes are served in a tasting menu format, so you can savour each dish individually. Holding a high reputation among locals and visitors, booking is certainly advised.

Embankment Bistro

A truly classic bistro restaurant and bar with stunning views of the River Dart. The Embankment Bistro is the more relaxed sister restaurant of The Angel. Serving breakfast, lunch, as well as dinner, it offers some classic bistro dishes with menus designed to attract locals and visitors. Dine inside the old railway station or alfresco on ‘La Terrace’. Founded over twenty years ago, this is a local classic.  Kendricks offers both a relaxed atmosphere and a family-friendly menu. Providing a ‘Tex-Mex’ theme in addition to a locally-sourced Specials Board, there is something on the menu for your whole group. Loved by locals, we highly recommend booking.

The original Rockfish opened in Dartmouth in 2010, with stunning views of the River Dart.  The restaurant prides itself in serving sustainably caught, fresh local seafood. Fish is landed and prepared at dawn, in the neighbouring town of Brixham, to be served at lunchtime.  This family-friendly restaurant is passionate about helping more people enjoy sustainable South West seafood.  Consequently, the staff are very knowledgeable, and are on-hand if you need help with dining decisions or simply want to learn more about local seafood. Their entire menu is gluten free which, when prepared as such, is suitable for coeliacs.  Rockfish offers non-fish options and can cater for vegans and vegetarians. Booking is recommended.

A luxury waterside restaurant facing the River Dart, perfect for fine dining lovers. It is a must-visit for foodies with the budget in Dartmouth. The Floating Bridge

Located by the Higher Ferry and family friendly, this is one of the top locally-loved restaurants in Dartmouth. Simple food served with a smile.

The Seahorse

This multi-award-winning restaurant is owned by Chef Mitch Tonks and is run by his son and daughter-in-law. They serve both a sensational seasonal fish menu alongside delicious meat and vegetarian options. The menu changes daily depending on the catch, paired with delicious new and old wines. Many of the dishes are prepared over the charcoal fire, with the menu inspired by the Italians. They serve delicious yet simple dishes, showcasing the best of Devon and further afield. Additionally, if you want to make the evening even more special, they have a private dining area perfect for a special event or celebration with your loved ones.
