Window Seat of Dreams
I stayed in Dart Lookout for 8 days and it really is a sanctuary and a place to relax and watch the world go by. Birds, cruise ships, staff from the hotel below, next door’s dog – I watched and enjoyed them all from the window seat of dreams that is the best part of this house. The big bed follows in close second – super comfortable with lovely bedding. Open the curtains in the morning and watch the sun come up over the water. Perfect! The bathroom, downstairs loo and kitchen could do with a serious revamp but I just took them for what they are and made the positives outweigh any negatives. The fridge broke on my second day but the response was immediate and a new fridge was installed and working within 5 hours – that must be a record! Thank you so much, Paul! Be prepared for lots of steps up from the garage (48), but think of the cardio benefit and the arrival is more than worth the effort. I loved it! Thank you!
Location fantastic
Location fantastic with stunning elevated views of the estuary. The pretty front garden has 2 seating areas to enjoy the panoramic views. Living room and 2 bedrooms (1 compact single and one spacious double) have lovely bay window views. Dining area to rear of living room limited for space with seating for more than 4 tricky. Odd L shaped kitchen to rear is rudimentary and a little unpractical but has dishwasher, small hob, microwave, small fridge and freezer. Washing machine also at rear. We had a good stay with wonderful walks and evenings in Dartmouth. Having a garage is a big plus. Our ID4 just fitted. We would urge the owners to invest more in upkeep of some elements of the house, particularly the bathroom upstairs which is ok but has a stained mdf casing under sink and peeling paint in various places. Overall the house feels well used and quite basic but certainly possible to enjoy a stay there.
Wow – The Views!
The view from the large windows in the sitting room and the front bedroom are the wow factor! However, to reach such a lofty view, there are a lot of fairly steep steps from the road – maybe 40? It’s a spacious and bright house, tastefully furnished, and we had everything we needed, plus easy access to the town – bars, restaurants, shops, boat trips, ferry, amazing walks, etc. Parking a second car was a challenge, and may well be difficult during peak periods.

We loved staying for 2 nights in this great house in its beautiful location. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed the wonderful views. Nice walk into town and a pub close by. Fantastic! Thank you.

Perfect location.
We had a lovely holiday here. Perfect location. Beautiful views across the river - loved watching the ferry go back and forth! The house is a very short walk into the centre of Dartmouth to access all the shops and amenities. There is a fabulous pub right next door which was welcoming and a lovely spot for food and drink. The house accomodated 6 of us comfortably and had everything we needed. Would recommend this property and would happily stay here again.

Had a great time at Dart Lookout - it's in a great part of town and had garage parking which was a huge bonus. Beautiful home with beautiful views. Would definitely stay here again.
Fabulous location
Fabulous location and ideal base to explore it from. Facilities were good and the house was clean and comfortable. The Host was contactable, accommodating and responsive. Would thoroughly recommend whether for multiple guests or just as a getaway for a couple.
This property was absolutely perfect
This property was absolutely perfect for a weekend away from London with friends. We only needed 2 of the bedrooms, but 2 other rooms were available. We brought our dog as well. Everyone thought the property was perfect for all we wanted to do. We came to dine at Seahorse and go hiking in the area. Dartmouth was a great home base for all we wanted to do - eat great seafood, breath fresh air, and be in the outdoors. Listing was as advertised and Paul was very responsive. Easy, flexible checkin. Garage for car was clutch because parking can be tricky in town.
A delightful place to stay.
A charming comfortable Edwardian house within easy walking distance to Dartmouth and a marvellous view to watch the ‘ Lower Ferry’ working, very relaxing.
There is also a garage which is extremely convenient as parking in Dartmouth is very restricted.
The house was well equipped, clean & comfortable.
In all a delightful place to stay.

Amazing Property
We had a wonderful stay in this amazing home with the most beautiful surroundings overlooking the water and the steam train and is within walking distance of the shops. The house more than met expectations. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed. WiFi is installed and there are also a lot of games to entertain yourself with. It has our highest recommendations. We'd love to come back another day.
