AFRICAN QUEEN SEA FISHING

Offering a variety of different trips from evenings to all week adventures, African Queen Sea Fishing is one to try out for a unique Devon experience.  Look out for the dolphins and seals as you explore the coastline from the water.  Join an existing group trip or hire out the boat for your group.  Catch some delicious fish to take home with you to cook in one of our stunning properties.

DARTMOUTH GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB

This golf and country club is located 15 minutes out of Dartmouth by car.  Book a tee time or relax in the lovely spa.  Enjoy the sunshine whilst hitting a few golf balls with your friends or family or take some R&R at the spa on a rainy day.  Chill by the pool or in the sauna, and book yourself in for a lovely massage.

FIZZ BOAT

Take a day trip with your group on the wonderful fizz boat.  It is a private boat hire run by locals.  Ask them questions and for recommendations as you sip on your bubbles and admire the view.  Explore the river as you wish without the hassle of having to plan a route or drive yourself!  It is a lovely way to take in the countryside and water in luxury.

HQ ESCAPE ROOM

Hidden in Dartmouth, this escape room is a favoured activity by residents, tourists, and local businesses.  Find the clues and crack the code with this puzzle solving activity.  A perfect morning, afternoon, or evening activity.  Work as a team to escape within the hour.  Sounds easy right, but are you up for the task?

KAYAKING

Enjoy a guided trip from one of the highly experienced guides.  Want to learn more?  Take part in one of the many courses they have on offer, from very beginner to highly skilled.  For all ages and abilities to enjoy the River Dart and beyond from a different angle.

OLIVE POTS

Book a pottery workshop in Dartmouth’s Market Square and embrace your creative side!  Spend a couple of hours learning how to make a unique holiday momentum and spend time browsing the array of stunning handcrafted pieces Olivia has on display.  Holding small group sessions, enjoy a private workshop to learn some of the arts of pottery.

PADDLEBOARDING

Paddleboarding lessons and hire available from the Paddle Shack located on Coronation Park.  A unique way to explore the River Dart.  An option for all ages and skill levels, with guides on hand to help.  Hop on a board and paddle down the river like a true local.  Pre-booking is essential.

ROUND ROBIN

For this adventure, you can start in Paignton, Dartmouth or Totnes, and finish in the same location.  You can also take the route either way round.  It is a good day out for young and old, and a good way to see South Devon on many modes of transport.  Simply sit back and enjoy the scenery via bus, steam train, and boat.  They have an itinerary planner or create your own.  The round robin runs between April and October.

SANDRIDGE & BARTON WINES

Nestled in a picturesque valley in Stoke Gabriel, enjoy an afternoon of tasting local wines and cheeses.  This vineyard appears new but is simply a move of Sharpham wines from the Sharpham Estate.  Take part in a tour and tasting, whether self-guided or an in-depth and guided.  Complete the tasting, choose your favourite wines and cheeses, and enjoy them overlooking the River Dart with a picnic.  Or treat yourself to a delicious lunch at their on-site restaurant, Circa.  Take the ferry from Dartmouth to Greenway and walk up to the stunning vineyard.
