Book the kids in for a pottery workshop in Dartmouth’s market square.  Spend a couple of hours learning how to make a unique holiday momentum and spend time browsing the array of stunning handcrafted pieces Olivia has on display.  Holding small group sessions, enjoy a private family workshop to learn some of the arts of pottery on rainy days in Slapton and Torcross.

OUTSIDE

THE FLAVEL ARTS & CINEMA CENTRE

TOTNES CASTLE

Climb to the top of the keep and enjoy stunning views over the town of Totnes and the River Dart.  Explore inside this historic monument and learn of the towns past.  Climb the steps of the castle to enjoy stunning panoramic views across the valley.  Once you’ve explored the keep and bailey, take a walk around the outside walls to see the steep sided ditch and outer bank which formed part of the original defences for the entrance.  Covered in wildflowers and plants, it is a beautiful walk giving you a sense of how it looked centuries ago.  Pre-booking is recommended or use your English Heritage membership.  Open March to November, it is the perfect activity for rainy days in Slapton and Torcross.

TOTNES RARE BREEDS FARM

A small family run attraction set in beautiful surroundings beside the South Devon steam railway.  An interactive and educational experience for both adults and children.  Wheelchair and pram friendly, it is a perfect rainy-day activity.  Open March to October, be sure to check it out on Your Devon Escape.

WOODLANDS
