Andria

This is a lovely spot for a special occasion or if you simply want to treat yourself to some delicious, good quality food. Owned by Head Chef Luca Berardino, he develops all recipes in house with the help of his brilliant team. The menu consists of a range of small plates, including vegan and vegetarian options. They showcase a modern take on classic dishes whilst using only local ingredients. Holding a high reputation among locals and visitors alike, and certainly reasonably priced, booking is strongly advised. If you are looking for a special dinner spot near Stoke Fleming, then this is it.

Britannia at the Beach

Britannia @ The Beach, often referred to as ‘The Shack’, is a unique and rustic restaurant overlooking Beesands Beach.  It is renowned for serving delicious seafood caught in the waters it overlooks.  In fact, the idea evolved from a local fishing family who wanted to complete the cycle from catching seafood to cooking it for their menu.  With historic fishing connections and rustic appeal, the restaurant has above all evolved into a much-loved landmark by locals and visitors alike.  Booking is highly recommended, and they do offer takeaway if you would prefer to sit on the beach.

Kendricks

Kendricks, Stoke Fleming, is the place for any occasion.  Whether you are looking for a quick bite to eat or a memorable gathering, it’s the perfect spot.  Serving pizza, small plates, and local alcohol, indulge in the delicious food and good vibes.  They also do a locally famous roast on a Sunday!   If you are looking for dinner recommendations in Stoke Fleming catering for the whole family, this is your spot.

Start Bay Inn

Based in Torcross, overlooking the beach, this restaurant is ideal if you are staying in the area.  It is famous for its fish and chips, and seafood specialities.  Locals will drive from all over the South Hams for the delicious, traditional dish.  This family run business serves fresh, local produce and alcohol, seven days a week.  Enjoy dinner overlooking the water and ask the staff about the building’s history, dating back to the 14th century.  If you want something traditional and local, this is the spot.

The Angel

Multi-award winning, this relaxed fine dining restaurant has stunning views of the River Dart.  Located along the embankment, watch the boats sail by as you eat.  Using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, this establishment is one not to miss.  The menu has been carefully created by Head Chef Elly Wentworth, a former ‘MasterChef: The Professionals’ Finalist. They offer both an A La Carte and tasting menu, catering for all your culinary desires.  Booking is highly!

The Cricket Inn

A multi-award-winning pub overlooking Beesands Beach.  Set along the South West Coast Path, it is the perfect location for dinner.  The restaurant has a reputation for serving modern, delicious, fresh fish and seafood dishes, as well as a few Asian twists..  They are strong supporters of buying and serving local produce, and, therefore, visitors return each year to taste the culinary delights created by the excellent team. Fishing boats drop today’s catch onto the shore to serve to you directly. You cannot get fresher! Dogs are welcome so why not let them join in the fun too!  Booking is recommended.

The Green Dragon

You will find this hidden gem nestled opposite the church, in the heart of Stoke Fleming. This pub is loved by locals and visitors alike, serving hearty, traditional food. They host events throughout the year including the much-loved ‘Dragon Fest’, hosted each summer. It is also a cosy spot to hang out during the winter, with a log burner and great ales. Be sure to check this one out to meet the village’s locals.

The Seahorse

The Seahorse was first established in 2008 and has since become a place to gather for conversation, debate, and delicious local seafood.  It has a special warmth and spirit as soon as you step through the door.  Fish is delivered twice a day from Brixham, bringing you the freshest seafood options.  The menu changes daily so there will always be something new for you to try.  Separate from the restaurant, The Seahorse have a private dining room called The Cantina. A place where friends and family can gather to enjoy a dedicated menu, cooked exclusively by one of their chefs.  If you are heading to Devon for a special celebration, hiring this private dining room is an excellent location for an intimate dinner together.  The Seahorse caters for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free.  They can also offer children’s options on request.
