The Best Pubs in Thurlestone

It is always good to have a village pub nearby. Somewhere to stop to grab a drink after a day of exploring. If you are planning a holiday in Thurlestone, you are in for a treat. The Cove

Over the hill in Hope Cove, you will find this fabulous pub. With live music events throughout the year, it is a great spot to listen to the tunes whilst enjoying the stunning coastal views. Head here whilst exploring the coast path or head into the village and make an evening of it. It is a truly stunning location to sample a pint or two.

The Hope and Anchor

Set in the heart of Hope Cove, enjoy a tipple whilst admiring the coastal vista. Pop in whilst exploring the coast path, or head in for the evening and enjoy watching the sunset over a beverage or two. Serving some of the best of the South West’s beers, ciders and spirits, this is one to not miss!

Salcombe Gin Bar

Down the road in Salcombe, find the delicious Salcombe Gin. Enjoy a glass of the internationally known spirit whilst watching the distillation in action! Admire views over the estuary as you sip on some local. Or make it an activity afternoon and create your own! They run Gin Experiences, offering you the chance to create your own flavour profiles and bottle of gin. Sample of glass of it in the bar and take a bottle home with you to remember Your Devon Escape by!

The Sloop Inn

This 14th century inn is packed with lots of history.  This quaint pub is loved by the locals. Pop in on your way to or from the beach.  It is a good place to relax after a long day surfing or relaxing in the sun.  With a good selection of beers, ales, and spirits, this is one to check out if you are in the area.

The Village Inn

Full of character, this Inn is everything you could hope for in one of Devon’s classic traditional pubs. It is an essential stop for everyone, from new guests to old locals. From summer afternoons outside, to cosy winter evenings by the fire, there is always something to look forward to at this magical spot. And it is not every day you can enjoy a pint beneath the beams of wrecked Spanish Armada ships! Dogs and children are welcome.
