Tremorvah dates to 1850 and was originally one large property.  The name of the property means ‘town and sea’, very much reflecting the views out to the Dart. If you are looking for perfect places to stay in Dartmouth, Tremorvah is simply idyllic.  This modern and comfortable apartment allows four guests to enjoy elevated views of the river, stretching right out as far as the mouth of the estuary.

Accessed via a roadside entrance, half a dozen descending steps lead to the main front door. Once inside, an open plan lounge and kitchen-diner awaits.  The layout is modern, yet cosy, with ample seating area for all guests.  The large sash windows flood the space with light and invite you to gaze across the water and drift off to a place of pure imagination.  The kitchen will be supplied with t-towels and a sundry pack.

The master bedroom is home to a king-sized bed and wardrobe space to hang and organise your clothes.  With an ensuite attached, fitted with a fantastic shower, it is ideal for unwinding after a busy day of exploring.  With stunning views across to Kingswear, this room is the perfect place to enjoy the early morning sunrise, watching from the window as it rises over the estuary.

The twin room is in keeping with the master; light and airy with space to hang your clothes.  The two large windows offer similar views to the rest of the apartment and bring the brightness of each new day into the room.  The adjoining hallway leads to the mezzanine floor which doubles as either a separate workspace with desk or a third bedroom, available on request, with two single pull-out beds.

The main family bathroom offers both a bath and overhead shower which can be enjoyed with views of the town and river.  A starter supply of toilet rolls, and hand soap will be available in the bathrooms.  The utility room is fitted with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.

Below the apartment, and accessed by two flights of steps, is a sun-soaked patio area. Tucked into a little corner offering privacy from above, it’s the perfect place to sit and relax whilst enjoying a morning coffee, glass of wine or a good old BBQ!

If you are looking for the perfect places to stay in Dartmouth, Tremorvah truly provides an opportunity to experience waterside living at its best whilst offering easy walking access into the town.

Blackpool Sands is the closest beach, a five-minute drive or a one-hour and half walk away along the South West Coast Path.

If you are looking for places to stay in Dartmouth on this coast path, Tremorvah is perfect.  Simply step out the front door to enjoy.  Take shorter walks to Dartmouth Castle and Sugary Cove, or take the ferry across to Kingswear and walk to The Daymark to experience beautiful views.

Families with adventurous young explorers are sure to love nearby Woodlands, just five miles out, where all-weather fun is guaranteed. With a mixture of rides, indoor and outdoor play areas, and even a toboggan run, you’re sure of a good day out. Or why not step away from the shore and take up one of the many boat rides which can be caught from the waterfront, with sights to see including historical Greenway Holt, the home of Agatha Christie, and a selection of nautical wildlife too, from seals to sea birds.

Dartmouth is an all year round destination hosting a variety of regional events like the yearly Dart Music Festival (May), the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta (August), and the Dartmouth Food Festival (October).

"Wonderful location with beautiful views of the estuary. Spotless presentation, well equipped and comfortable property. We arrived by train as public car parking arrangements would be inconvenient."

"Absolutely stunning location with the best views of the estuary and sea. The property is very spacious and comfortable and clean. We stayed two nights and made good use of the well appointed kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless. Access via the key safe was easy. Would highly recommend. "Wonderful apartment with an amazing view over the estuary. The apartment was spotless and really well-equipped. The woodburner was a bonus as the weather was wet and chilly. Excellent location, just minutes walk from some great restaurants and all else that Dartmouth has to offer. Would highly recommend."

Gilly, Nov 23

"The most immaculate holiday home we have ever been to. The accommodation was absolutely spotless! We arrived in torrential February rain but were very lucky enough to park a few meters away due to no parking restrictions out of season. We were instantly cheered up when we entered the property, which is even more beautiful than the photographs in the listing. We also very much appreciated the milk and bottle of wine to get us settled in. Each room is filled with light and there are stunning views from every window. We enjoyed watching the sunrise in the morning and then the boats and ferries going backwards and forwards throughout the day. Paul and Brooke run a very professional operation. The guidance document/app that was sent to us on booking was amazing and gave us all the information that we needed. Paul was also quick to respond to any queries that we had before and during our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this place and would love to return some day".

Rebecca, Feb 24

"We had a wonderful stay at Tremorvah, a lovely flat in such a tranquil and beautiful location. Must be one of the best views in Dartmouth! The flat is a short walk from the town centre and also walking distance from the Castle by the estuary and the little tea rooms (very friendly). A beautiful space, stylish interior design, a well equipped kitchen, very spacious master bedroom, all rooms with the same lovely view. We also enjoyed the woodburner with complimentary wood. The terrace provided a quiet outdoor space perfect for morning coffee, with a spectacular magnolia tree (just about to blossom which we sadly missed). Would not hesitate to recommend and would love to visit again".

Maria, Feb 24
