Tremorvah is a moment’s walk from Dartmouth’s unique town centre, and the many river cruises and ferries that take you to the surrounding villages and ports by boat.
Tremorvah dates to 1850 and was originally one large property. The name of the property means ‘town and sea’, very much reflecting the views out to the Dart. This is a modern and comfortable apartment that allows four guests to enjoy elevated views of the river, stretching right out as far as the mouth of the estuary.
Accessed via a roadside entrance, half a dozen descending steps lead to the main front door. Once inside, an open plan lounge and kitchen-diner awaits. The layout is modern, yet cosy, with amble seating area for all guests. The large sash windows flood the space with light and invite you to gaze across the water and drift off to a place of pure imagination. The kitchen will be supplied with t-towels and a sundry pack.
The master bedroom is home to a king-sized bed and wardrobe space to hang and organise your clothes. With an en-suite attached, fit with a fantastic shower, it is ideal for unwinding after a busy day of exploring. With stunning views across to Kingswear, this room is the perfect place to enjoy the early morning sunrise, watching from the window as it rises over the estuary.
The twin room (can be converted to a King bed if notified when booking) is in keeping with the master; light and airy with space to hang your clothes. The two large windows offer similar views to the rest of the apartment and bring the brightness of each new day into the room. The adjoining hallway leads to the mezzanine floor which doubles as either a separate workspace with desk or a third bedroom, available on request, with two single pull-out beds.
The main family bathroom offers both a bath and overhead shower which can be enjoyed with views of the town and river. A starter supply of toilet rolls and hand soap will be available in the bathrooms. The utility room is fitted with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.
Below the apartment, and accessed by two flights of steps, is a sun-soaked patio area. Tucked into a little corner offering privacy from above, it’s the perfect place to sit and relax whilst enjoying a morning coffee, glass of wine or a good old BBQ!
Tremorvah truly provides an opportunity to experience waterside living at its best whilst offering easy walking access into the town.
Dartmouth is an all year round destination hosting a variety of regional events like the yearly Dart Music Festival (May), the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta (August), and the Dartmouth Food Festival (October).
Note: Given its location, there is no parking space for the property, but we can recommend local options to not detract from your visit. Simply pull-up, unload and then leave the car behind for the entire duration of your stay.
