Palm Cott is typical of the pretty terrace-style properties found in the heart of the town. Built in the 1800s for the local quarry men, it’s full of history and charm. Recently renovated and re-furnished, this Brixham holiday accommodation provides you with comfort for up to four people to enjoy and one small, well-behaved dog.
The downstairs is home to a beautiful, bespoke oak kitchen and comfortable living area. Fitted with a wood burning stove, adding to the warm and cosy feel of the property and with full gas-fired central heating throughout, even the winter months are welcoming at Palm Cott. The kitchen will be supplied with t-towels, J-Cloth and sourer.
The two bedrooms sleep up to four guests. There is a double bedroom, with a wardrobe and chair, making it the perfect spot for some light reading. The second bedroom is home to either a king bed or two single beds (please advise us when booking – 2 x singles is standard set-up).
The bathroom is found upstairs, fitted with a shower and is beautifully decorated. A starter supply of toilet rolls and hand soap will be available in the bathroom.
Palm Cott also offers a unique and special two-tiered decking area to the rear of the property, equipped with table and chairs, where you can enjoy the sunshine on a warm day. The cottage also has a patio area to the front of the property, also equipped with a table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee or alfresco meal.
Shared off-street parking, although not guaranteed, is available on Wren Hill, a quiet road located accessible via the back garden.
You will find Brixham harbour a ten-minute walk away, home to plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants serving today’s catch straight from the bay. Enjoy paddle boarding on the nearby Breakwater Beach or take a ferry across the bay to Torquay.
Brixham is a favourite all year round for dog lovers and walkers alike. The coastline is dominated by one of the UK’s greatest and best-loved nature trails – The South West Coast Path.
Just down the road (via the number 18 bus or a ten-minute drive) is Kingswear. The steam train to Paignton, Churston and Totnes can be taken from here. Also, you can take the upper or lower ferry across to Dartmouth from here, which is a must.
The ferry from the harbour takes thirty-minutes to Torquay where there are arcades, ice cream and a great beach.
This Brixham holiday accommodation is ideally placed to explore the stunning English Riviera and the rest of South Devon.
