BEACHES

COLETON FISHACRE

The home of the D’Oyly Carte family was built in the Arts and Crafts style and is filled with Art Deco elegance.  Visit the home and be travelled back to the Jazz Age of the 1920s.  Get an insight into the life of the wealth during the era, from the glamorous Saloon and the airy servants’ rooms.  If the home isn’t for you, then take a walk through the grounds.  With glimpses out to sea, weave through the plants from across the globe and tranquil ponds as you wander along the paths.  Open at the weekends throughout winter, this is one of the most wholesome winter adventures in Brixham.

GREENWAY

LANTERNS, LIGHTS AND LUMINATIONS

Brixham celebrates its Christmas lights switch on with a ‘Lanterns, Lights and ‘Luminations’ parade each year.  Take part in lantern building workshops pre the event and participate in the magical lantern parade.  Watch the incredible firework display held in the harbour.  There is something special about fireworks over water.  Wander through the market stalls and enjoy the live music.  With entertainment on the Quay, a Christmas market and Santa’s Grotto, be sure to not miss out on this Christmas event on Your Devon Escape.

SOUTH WEST COAST PATH
