Amalfi Kitchen

Discover a taste of the Mediterranean in the heart of Dartmouth. Amalfi Kitchen is all about capturing the sunshine spirit in their mediterranean food. The menu is small, fresh, and seasonal, with everything made inhouse with love. Serving antipasto, homemade pizza, and fresh pasta, you are in for a treat! And they can cater for gluten-free when booking, if needed. During the summer months, they also have a bar and courtyard garden for drinks and antipasto. If you are looking for a relaxed wine bar vibe with comfortable outdoor seating, their garden is the place to be.

Andria

This restaurant focusses provides a modern take on classic dishes. Owned by Head Chef Luca Berardino, recipes have been developed and tested in house.  The menu consists of a range of small plates and offers a full vegan menu.  It is a delight for those who love an evening of sharing food as well as conversation. The dishes are served in a tasting menu format; you can savour each dish individually. Holding a high reputation among locals and visitors, booking is strongly advised.

Embankment Bistro

A truly classic bistro restaurant and bar with stunning views of the River Dart. The Embankment Bistro is the more relaxed sister restaurant of The Angel. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it offers some classic bistro dishes with menus designed to attract locals and visitors. Dine inside the old railway station or alfresco on ‘La Terrace’. Enjoy classic, simple dishes with outstanding views in a comfortable setting.

Kendricks

Founded over twenty years ago, this is a local classic.  Priding itself for a relaxed atmosphere and being family-friendly, there is truly something on the menu for everyone.  This casual Dartmouth restaurant offers a ‘Tex-Mex’ themed menu alongside a delicious Specials Board, offering local delights. With a friendly and lively atmosphere and loved by locals, booking is advised.

Rockfish

The original Rockfish opened in Dartmouth in 2010, with stunning views of the River Dart.  Rockfish prides itself in providing sustainably caught, fresh local fish, which is landed and prepared at dawn to be served at lunchtime.  Their entire menu is gluten free which, when prepared as such, is suitable for coeliacs.  This family-friendly restaurant is passionate about helping more people enjoy sustainable South West seafood.  This restaurant offers non-fish options and can cater for vegans and vegetarians. Booking is recommended.

Taylor’s

If you are looking for an intimate dining setting, Taylor’s is the perfect restaurant for a dinner in Dartmouth. With stunning views over the River Dart and Kingswear, dine over delicious food, good music, and beautiful landscape. Taylor’s offers an intimate first-floor restaurant, with a select menu focussing on delicious local seafood. This one is highly rated by foodies!

The Angel

For the ultimate foodies. A luxury waterside restaurant facing the River Dart. It is a must-visit for foodies with the budget in Dartmouth. Multi-award-winning and providing an ever-changing menu, this restaurant loves to showcase the best of Devon.  Using locally sourced, fresh ingredients and offering beautiful views, it is one to not miss. Run by Executive Chef Elly Wentworth, a former ‘MasterChef: The Professionals’ Finalist, you are sure to enjoy an evening of delicious food with good company.

The Floating Bridge

With a strong reputation for its fish and chips and pub classics, this is one for the whole family.  Boasting a delightful terrace with river views, dine outdoors during those beautiful summer evenings. Located by the Higher Ferry and family friendly. 

Opening Times: Monday-Saturday 11am-9pm, Sunday 11am-8:30pm

The Seahorse

This multi-award-winning restaurant is owned by Chef Mitch Tonks and run by his son and daughter-in-law. They serve a sensational seasonal fish menu alongside delicious meat and vegetarian options. The menu changes daily depending on the catch, paired with delicious new and old wines. Many of the dishes are prepared over the charcoal fire, with the menu inspired by the Italians. They serve delicious yet simple dishes, showcasing the best of Devon and further afield. And if you want to make the evening even more special, they have a private dining area perfect for a special event or celebration with your loved ones.
