This restaurant focusses on a modern take of classic dishes.  Owned by Head Chef Luca Berardino, recipes have been developed and tested in house.  The menu consists of a range of small plates, including a vegan menu.  This reasonably priced establishment is open seven days a week.  Holding a high reputation among locals and visitors, booking is strongly advised.  If you are looking for a somewhere for a special lunch, this is your spot.

Bushell’s Riverside is family run by husband and wife, Jaime and Sarah.  The restaurant is situated on the bank of the River Dart, with beautiful views across to Kingswear.  The restaurant specialises in seafood, offering small plates, sharing platters, sandwiches and more.  They can cater to dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free and, also, offer a separate children’s menu.  If you are looking for a lunch with a view and some delicious local seafood, this is one of the best lunch spots in Dartmouth.

A classic bistro restaurant and bar located on the banks of the River Dart.  Offering outstanding estuary views, sit and enjoy a delicious lunch whilst you watch the boats sail by.  Embankment Bistro also offers spectacular alfresco dining on ‘La Terrace’ partnering with Bollinger Champagne house and an artisan takeaway café with hand roasted Devon based coffee, ice cream and cakes.  The Embankment team serves up some classic bistro dishes with menus designed to attract both as a destination venue and a convenient choice for those enjoying the stunning Dartmouth embankment.  Whether you want a light lunch or something hearty, this is one of the best lunch spots in Dartmouth.

Jenny Koo’s Kitchen is a modern Asian take on a classic deli.  Jenny prides herself on her kitchen being all about excitement and creativity.  This deli is dog-friendly and serves a selection of delicious lunch items, with a changing daily menu.  There is always a bit of spice and flare on the menu for those wanting to try something different.  She is happy to cater for all needs, especially if you are after something specific.  Be sure to message her on Instagram before going if you are wanting a craving fix.

The original Rockfish opened in Dartmouth in 2010, with stunning views of the River Dart.  Rockfish prides itself in providing sustainably caught, fresh local fish, which is landed and prepared at dawn to be served at lunchtime.  Their entire menu is gluten free which, when prepared as such, is suitable for coeliacs.  This family-friendly restaurant is passionate about helping more people enjoy sustainable South West seafood.  This restaurant can also cater for vegans and vegetarians, and booking is recommended.

Smith Street Deli is a delicatessen and speciality food shop.  They pride themselves on offering a welcoming atmosphere whilst serving fresh local ingredients.  They offer a selection of lunch using only the best of products from the surrounding area.  Pop in for a lunchtime bite and you will not be disappointed.  If you like what you eat, be sure to pick up a selection of goodies to take with you to enjoy in one of our properties, or when you return home to remember your trip!

Multi-award winning, this relaxed fine dining restaurant has stunning views of the River Dart.  Located along the embankment, this location allows you to watch the boats go by as you eat.  Using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, this establishment is one to not miss.  The menu has been carefully created by Head Chef Elly Wentworth, a former ‘MasterChef: The Professionals’ Finalist. They offer both an A La Carte and tasting menu to cater to your desires.  Booking is highly recommended to check out one of the best lunch spots in Dartmouth.

The Seahorse was first established in 2008 and has since become a place to gather for conversation, debate, and delicious local seafood.  It has a special warmth and spirit as soon as you step through the door.  The restaurant is entered through their bar, where you have the option of enjoying an aperitivo before moving to your table.  Fish is delivered twice a day from Brixham, bringing you the freshest seafood options for lunch.  The menu changes daily so there will always be something new for you to try.  Opposite the bar, they have The Cantina, a private room where friends and family can gather to enjoy a dedicated menu, cooked exclusively by one of their chefs.  If you are heading to Dartmouth for a special celebration, hiring The Cantina could be an excellent idea for an intimate lunch together.  The Seahorse caters for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free.  They also can offer children’s options on request.
