What to do this October Half Term?

The kids have only just gone back to school and here we are talking about another holiday.  But it will be with us before you know it!  What have you got planned for October half term?  Why not plan a getaway to Devon.

AUTUMN ADVENTURES AT COLETON FISHACRE

DARTMOUTH FOOD FESTIVAL

Dartmouth Food Festival has established itself as quite the event.  Starting from humble beginnings, it has grown into a festival showcasing workshops, seminars, and demonstrations from local and top chefs.  It has created a space for people from all walks of life to access the culinary world.  To learn, explore, smell and taste world food.  With over one hundred hand-picked exhibitors, they aim to provide an accessible space for producers to showcase their products and for the public to discover them.  With celebrity chefs, parties, food markets and tasting shacks, this free landmark event is definitely on the culinary calendar.  Check it out on Your Devon Escape this October half term.

GUIDED WALK AND HISTORY TOUR AT CANNONTEIGN FALLS

SCULPTURE TRAIL AT COCKINGTON COURT

SOUTH HAMS ARTS TRAIL

The Arts Trail provides an opportunity for visitors to view and buy work directly with makers.  Discover paintings, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery, lampshades, mosaics and more.  Explore the South Hams and find places you never knew existed whilst finding the perfect piece of art to take home to remember your trip.  Work is exhibited in a wide range of venues from kitchen tables to purpose-built studios, and more.  There is a brochure available to help plan your route with opening times, dates, venues and where artists can be found.  Find new artists and meet with your favourites.  There are also various workshops taking place during the event so be sure to check out their website to find out more.
