FLAVOUR FEST

The South West’s largest food and drink festival is returning to Plymouth this weekend.  The weekend event will see the City Centre Piazza transformed with over 70 stalls showcasing the best regional produce, as well as a bar. Experience the vibrant energy as top chefs gather to showcase their culinary prowess in the cookery theatre. As the aroma of delectable cuisines fills the air, enjoy live music from fantastic local talent over the weekend.  So, bring your appetite and join in the fun this bank holiday weekend in Plymouth.

OUTDOOR CINEMA AT POWDERHAM CASTLE

See some family and teen-friendly favourites in in the grounds of Powderham Castle near Exeter over the half term week.  Among the films being shown are Grease, The Greatest Showman, and Top Gun.  So, grab your tickets online, bring your own blanket or deckchair and enjoy the show.  With food trucks and a bar available, you will be all set for an evening of entertainment.  Dress up for the film because best dressed wins a prize!

RAILS AND ALES AT SOUTH DEVON RAILWAY

Trains will be running all day with departures from Buckfastleigh and Totnes Riverside at frequent intervals. Totnes Riverside station is a 450m walk from the mainline station and bus stop; perfect if you are leaving the car behind and visiting by public transport.  At Staverton, the beer festival will be in full swing, offering a great selection of different ales, craft beers and ciders to enjoy from Devon Diesel Society’s award-winning bar.  The Staverton Buffet Coach will be open, serving a variety of hot & cold snacks, teas, coffees, and soft drinks.  On Sunday evening, there will be a quiz night.  With trains, beers, ales, ciders and more.  What else could you want for a bank holiday weekend of fun enjoying the Devon countryside, its history, and local beverages.

WALK THE COAST PATH OR THROUGH DEVON COUNTRYSIDE

There are endless options for walks to try in Devon and, guess what, they are free!  Whether you fancy taking in the sea air, see the sights of Dartmoor, or stroll through the countryside, you are in for a treat.  The South Devon section of the South West Coast Path allows you to take in some of the breath-taking scenery the area has to offer.  Enjoy beach views and clifftops whilst watching the boats go by.  Look for birds or keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and seals swimming about.
