A rustic and rural hideaway; Orchard Cottage is a perfect family holiday destination. Whether you are looking for the perfect family holiday, an all-action adventure or looking to grab a short break with family or friends, Orchard Cottage really makes for the perfect holiday destination.
The main entrance welcomes you into the heart of the property. The property is a bungalow, making it the perfect place for those with young children or elderly relatives. On the right, as you walk in, you will find the kitchen-dining area. The kitchen is rustic and functional, typical of what you might expect in a Devon farmhouse. Fit with an aga, gas stove, dishwasher, and separate fridge and freezer, you will have everything you need to live your Devon farmhouse dream. The kitchen will be supplied with t-towels and a sundry pack.
Central to the house are the bedrooms, two double rooms and one twin, all with views of the Devon countryside. All bedrooms are typical of a country farmhouse, allowing lots of natural light into the rooms.
Next to the bedrooms, is the family bathroom, with large corner bath and separate shower. The perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the local area. A starter supply of toilet rolls and hand soap available in the bathroom.
At the other end of the house is spacious lounge with plenty of seating for six guests, a smart TV, Wi-Fi, and electric wood burning stove. Connected to the lounge is a delightful sunroom that invites an early morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
The Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, adjacent to the cottages, boasts a purpose-built, 30,000 square foot indoor arena (split in separate halves for fully electric powered motorbikes and bicycles) and junior training circuit, and is the ideal year-round venue for the whole family to learn to ride a motorcycle in a fun and controlled environment. The facility must be booked in advance and their use is charged additionally. The link will be sent in a separate email once booked. rates are available for children and adults during the school holidays (booking by prior arrangement pre arrival), providing children and adults with the opportunity to experience the ultimate, two-wheel off-road adventure for the first time. All that’s needed is the enthusiasm to have a great deal of fun! Suited to all ages from three-years-old to fit seniors.
The nearest beach is just six miles away (Blackpool Sands), is family-friendly, and hosts a café. The local village has a quaint pub, and there are shops nearby.
The popular towns of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes are located just fifteen minutes away.
The property idyllically overlooks the South Devon countryside. It enjoys its own large private garden, perfect for allowing the little ones to roam.

Swimming Pool: Is shared with 4 other cottages on the site and open between 6am and 10pm daily all year round. We ask that you bring your own pool towels with you.
